Meeting on MDGs +10: Civil Society Perspectives |

Civil society organizations gathered at NGO Federation of Nepal on 26 July 2010 to review the status of UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to formulate demands and suggestions of the CSOs towards the reduction of poverty and achievement of MDGs. Following a presentation on a draft report on MDGs review from civil society perspectives, representatives from United Nations Millennium Campaign Nepal, members of Citizen Campaign on Democracy and Social Transformation (CCDST), federations and civil society organizations put forward their inputs, suggestions and comments to improvise the MDGs review report 2010. Incorporating the invaluable ideas and feedbacks, the report is to be revised soon. Likewise, the participants discussed on the draft of the CSO demands relating to the eradication of poverty and attainment of the MDGs. The demands will soon be finalized after more consultations among civil society organizations. |
