Organisational Structure
National Convention
NFN holds a National Convention
every three years attended by democratically elected
representatives from the 75 district NGOs afiliated
to NFN. The National Convention is the supreme body
of NFN.The Convention, in addition to other functions,elects
a new Executive Committee and amends the NFN constitution
as necessary.
Annual
General Meeting
NFN holds an annual General Meeting(AGM)
every Year.The AGM provides the overall direction
for NFN's work,approves the annual rreport of the
central executive committee and audit report,and endorses
NFN's activities for another year
Executive
Board
The Executive Board is presently
composed of 19 democratically elected members and
oversees the development of NFN policies ad the implementation
of programmes.Board members serve volunttarily in
their personal capacity for the organization.The board
also appoints the staff for the central secretariat
and regional resource centers.
Regional
Committees
NFN has five regional committees
in all five development regions.Each committee is
comprised of 7-9 members who are democratically elected
from district representatives.The committees coordinate,cooperate
and work as pressure groupsfor development initiatives,institutional
capacities strengthening of regional level organization
and district chapters.The committees also address
issue of regional importance and provide overall direction
toand manage the regional resource centers.
District Chapters
The NFN District Chapters unction
in all 75 districts.They coordinate and develop relationship
with the government and development agencies at the
local level.The district chapters implement NFN programmes,report
to the regional resource cnters and central secretariat,and
manage district programmes.The chapters also provide
membership to other local NGOs,and network and lobby
for social change initiatives at the local level.Each
chapter consist of 7-11 democratically elected members.
